Seasons

Bluebells in the meadowreflected the colour of her eyesas they laid togetherunder fresh spring skies. Months were long when summer cameand the sun glistened in her hair. They sat on the rivers edgetogether, without a care. Assessment Result

I have completed the first three years of my creative writing degree course. Having received the result (a pass), today for my third and final level 1 module, I continue with level 2 with an even greater motivation to continue and hopefully succeed in this educational endeavour. Coming from an educational background that really didn’t end up brilliantly academically, I have surprised myself as to what can actually be achieved if you put your mind to it and have belief, even if initially you do not think you are up to it. The Midnight Drive

Being blinded by the early evening sun, I drove into the hospital grounds, searching for a space, any space in which to squeeze my car; this seemed such a long time ago as I stood in the dark, with space all around and only one vehicle to be seen – which was mine. Having now completed four parts of the writing skills course, I feel I can see the ‘green shoots’ of … Continue reading A New Way Of Life – Day 14

A New Way Of Life – Day 8

Some things will continue…. Much of what we describe as normal life has ground to a halt, or at least slowed to a walking pace. One thing in my life that hasn’t halted is my studies; in fact, in the not too distant future they may actually accelerate due to having more time on my hands. I still have exercises and projects to work on, and the deadlines, like an unwanted visit from scary Great Aunt Bertha, are still there to be met. There are books to be read, both text and fiction, notes to be made and assignments to … Continue reading A New Way Of Life – Day 8
