Not so new anymore….
This ‘A New Way Of Life’ series is drawing to an end with this post – simply because it no longer feels like a new way. The old way of life feels like a lifetime ago now and the new way, well….it has almost become the normal way. Perhaps a new series could be titled, ‘A Normal Way Of Life.’ But of course, none of us want the way the world currently is, to remain normal. Having to hear about ever-increasing death tolls, front-line workers continuously calling for more supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the government repeatedly dodging questions or passing the buck to the scientists. Living in an eternally locked down society where the populace are worrying about the health and well-being of family and friends, or where the next meal is coming from, or whether they will be able to keep a roof over their heads or not. Who wants to go on living in this kind of normal?

So, for us all, the new way of life is now, not so new. We are continuing to adapt to social-distancing, dealing with new ways of obtaining food supplies etc and communicating with our loved ones via social-networks and other forms of electronic communication; so let us look forward to a new, old way of life, and hopefully that will be with us before long. And in that new old way of life, let us hope that society and the world as a whole, has become a kinder, less greedy, more caring, less selfish, more loving place to live.
